Short Discription:

Page design should offer as sharp contrast between foreground and background as possible – black on white, dark blue on light gray, etc.


More Info:

Not only should the page offer sharp contrast, but also, it is important that the High Contrast options set by the OS are not overridden. The page must be readable in High Contrast mode to include all fonts and images should not overlap

Testing:

The AIS toolbar offers several tests that can be useful. Grey scale, Colors Used, contrast Analyser, and a color blindness simulator.
